Good job, guys! I liked the first part best where Josh talked about the blogs he recently discovered (of course)
Regarding what makes a great PM, it’s interesting how all the various traits or skills on the list fit together. As Bas mentioned, chicken or egg? My number one thing is focusing on adding value instead of making sure we follow all the rules or the right methodology. The PM has to be flexible enough to know what to do when in order to provide the greatest value.

I can say that debates among different methodologies advocates are useless, people spend long time before adopting one methodology and once they believe it they defend it blindly! the reason the debate is useless is that “if I believe in the other methodology why wouldn’t I adopt it!”.
I believe no one completely adheres to a methodology, people look for a framework not methodology, a framework is more practical, and easy to understand, while methodologies are always speaking about building sand castles!
I think we should start focusing on the outcome rather than how to reach to the outcome, everyone should pick what works for him, no harm in trying different methodologies and even merge different ones to form a new one!
Bottom line, no methodology is wrong no methodology is right!

In my opinion a good project manager is one who goes beyond the project management basics and actually delivers all the relevant project manager duties as well as all the soft skills.
A good project manager is also one who can laterally problem solve on the fly, take control and lead as well as being able to really matrix manage resources and bring out the best in them.
Finally a good project manager is one who delivers to the timeframe, quality, requirements and budget consistently. Manage that and you’re well on the way!
